The Dragon Arrows
A middle aged dwarf with the weathered, lined face of someone who has spent most of his life traversing the mountains. Gundren is a miner, not a warrior, but he and his brothers are able to defend themselves against typical wilderness threats using the basic arms training that all dwarves are provided.
Gundren and his brothers, Nundro and Tharden, discovered the location of the legendary Wave Echo Cave after it had been lost for centuries. The Rockseekers are distantly related to the Brasslanterns in the type of obscure familial bond of which only dwarves take note. Gundren hired the services of the Brass Lantern company to deliver a shipment of mining supplies to the nearby town of Phandalin, while he rode ahead with Sildar Hallwinter, whom he had hired as a bodyguard.
On their way to Phandalin, Gundren and Sildar were ambushed by goblins of the Cragmaw Tribe, and Gundren was taken to King Grol of Cragmaw Castle. After a daring rescue by the party of adventurers provided by the Brass Lanterns, Gundren was present for the confrontation with the drow mage known as Nezznar the Black Spider in Wave Echo Cave.
Gundren and his youngest brother Nundro survived the battle with the Black Spider, and are recognized as the legal owners of Wave Echo Cave. However, the mine has yet to be reclaimed from the roving undead, and the newly established Rockseeker Mining Corporation is keen to finish the job and begin production. The brothers, along with their newly appointed chief of security Gorum, have been busy establishing safe points within the mine, but a determined assault against the wraith known as Mormesk will be necessary to secure the mine for good.
